The Plush Club

This past weekend I joined my friend Allyson Lassiter in her studio in Kansas City, MO to try out making plush for the first time. Plush, or plushies, are what Allyson classifies as stuffed animals. She has a whole bunch of self-drafted / designed plushes she makes en masse to sell at the Hallmark Market and other pop up shops.

This weekend I tried my hand at her kitty with a cape (I think it has a more magical name which escapes me right now).

I”m always inspired after a visit with Allyson, so I tried my hand at self-drafting my own plush. The result was nothing short of heartwarming and delightful. I introduce to you my very first bunny….and a funny onion I drafted as well.
