My husband and I took the Amtrak down to the Art Institute of Chicago to view the exhibit about Russian Graphic Design.
At times, graphic design can feel like merely a marketing and advertising tool but in more serious times, it was fuel for the resistance against Hitler and Nazi Germany.
One of my favorite typographers is Paul Rand. He was the designer of the typeface Futura. This typeface was san serif and completely opposite of the grotesque typefaces of the Nazi Regime.
